How to Celebrate Christmas with your long distance friends

Hey guys! Christmas is definitely a time to be spent with friends and family. We cannot forgot about our friends who are a hop, skip and a leap away. I personally find celebrating Christmas with my long distance friend very difficult to do. One of the reasons that it is hard is just simply that Christmas is one of the busiest times of the year. It is really hard to find the time to celebrate Christmas with them especially as they are not physically there as a reminder.

One very simple and personal (and maybe obvious) way to celebrate Christmas with your far away friend is to simply send them a Christmas card! I know I emphasised how nice it is to send something handwritten but I’m going to do it again! I think that it is just so special to receive something handwritten as it’s just so personal!

Another great way to celebrate with your friend is by texting them and finding out everything about how they’re spending Christmas. I do mean everything. What carol they’re listening to on repeat and what carol they cannot stand. Asking them questions about them will make them feel like you care. They will notice that you want to know everything about their Christmas and it will make them feel special.

If you want to go the distance you could send your friend a gift. This may sound weird that you’re considering not giving your friend a present but if you know how expensive it is to send a parcel abroad. If you don’t send them a gift don’t worry your friends will understand! They’re probably going through the same issues with the price!

The things in this post may have seemed very obvious but it was mainly just a reminder not to forget about your long distance friend this Christmas! Think about how amazing the feeling is when you receive a simple text from your friend. Giving your friend that feeling will make them really happy and make their Christmas! Check out our other long distance friend post and our other Christmas posts! Goodbye! Xx
