Three 5 step Buns for Thick Hair

So if you are like me and have long, thick hair you may die a little on the inside when your dance teacher wants your hair to be in a bun (and actually stay in one for the whole class!) or if you just want to keep your hair out of your face. This blog post will be perfect to fix all of your bun needs.

We all know that with hair it’s not  “one size fits all”. That is why I gave you a few different options.

Bobbins

So recently I realised the perfect “bobbin – bun” formula. I realised that my whole life was a lie and the best way to do it is to but the big bobbin around  your ponytail and a small bobbin around your bun! My mind was blown when I accidentally switched the bobbins and created the most sturdy bun I had ever had!

Twist Bun

  1. Put your hair in a ponytail
  2. Twist your ponytail
  3. Wrap it around the big bobbin
  4. Tuck in the end of the twist
  5. Put a bobbin around it

Plaited Bun

  1. Put your hair in a ponytail
  2. Plait your ponytail
  3. Wrap your plait around your bun
  4. Tuck in the end of the plait
  5. Put a bobbin around it

Segmented Bun

  1. Put your hair in a ponytail
  2. Put your head down and spread your ponytail around in every direction
  3. Lift a section up and loosely roll it towards you
  4. Pin that section
  5. Repeat until the bun is finished

So there you go! There is three 5 step buns for thick hair. They honestly work so well and stay in through any amount of turns or however your day will go.
